Seeker of Truth - EXTENDED ENDING
Steve was strolling through the streets of Brooklyn, his old home. He sometimes liked to come here to clear his head. Much had changed over the years, but the people still seemed the same. Most were done shopping and were quickly walking past him, holding several bags in their hands. Steve however, had his hands tucked in his pockets, looking into the windows of all the shops, looking at the happy men and women. He sighed, wishing he would have that too.
He was thinking about you again – the girl that spooked his mind, even though he had never met you – when his phone suddenly rang. He got it out of his pocket and checked the screen to see who it was.
It was Ethan, a British ex-police officer who had joined S.H.I.E.L.D. years ago and was now helping the Avengers search for all the remaining HYDRA agents. Steve hadn’t trusted him at first. He didn’t know why, it was just a gut feeling. However, after working with h

Seeker of Truth - Chapter 26: Changing the future
Within seconds the baron and his agents had found you again. You ran up the stairs, trying to get as much of a distance between you and them as possible. Before you knew it however the same man that had thrown you on the floor earlier, was standing in front of you. He slammed his hand in your stomach and you stumbled further, falling into the cold ground hard.
You quickly pushed yourself from the floor, seeing the baron coming closer to you. You knew you only had a few minutes left. After that you would no longer be in control of yourself. Maybe you should have told Steve about what had exactly happened, but then he would have definitely come to your rescue and the baron would have made you kill him… You had already lost Tony today. You couldn’t let more people die for you. No. This was where it stopped. This was where it ended.
You reached for the guns on your belt. You had accepted that you would have to die for s

Bucky and Steve led you outside the warehouse, making sure no other HYDRA agents followed them. You pressed your hand against the wound in your shoulder tightly, but you could still feel your warm blood seep through your fingers. With your other hand you wiped the sweat from your brow, while you tried to keep up with them.
Heavily panting, you could see the distance between you and the two of them becoming bigger. Now that you had proven yourself to at least not be HYDRA, they apparently didn’t feel the need to pay close attention to you anymore. You didn’t really mind, except for the fact that Bucky still had the files. After everything that had happened today you had a hard time following their pace.
You startled, when gunshots echoed in your ears. You tripped over your own feet and fell to the floor. You took out one of the guns you had gotten from Steve and turned around to shoot at the approaching HYDRA agents. You were able to shoot d

Seeker of truth - Chapter 25: The beginning of the end
You were waiting in an interrogation room at a secure location of one of the government agencies that had arrested all the HYDRA agents you had been able to locate. You looked around you nervously. Ethan had asked for you specifically and you had no idea what he was going to ask you. You didn’t even know if it was a good idea that you had come here, but Steve had pushed you to go.
You were ticking your fingers on the metal table in front of you, until the heavy door was opened again and agents pushed in Ethan. He looked terrible, as if he hadn’t had a good night sleep in at least a month. He seated himself in the chair opposite of you, while his hands were still cuffed.
‘You have ten minutes,’ one of the agents said, before walking out of the room and locking the door.
You nodded, finally able to turn your gaze up to Ethan and look him in the eye. He swallowed hard, looking at you. His lips were tor
Give in to me (Thor x Reader) One-shot
Two fluorescent, red eyes gazed at you from a distance. You turned your swords around in your hands, ready to attack. Thor’s steady breathing next to you echoed in your ears. You would have rather done this on your own, but Fury had insisted you would work in a team.
You looked around you, seeing at least a dozen more eyes gazing at you. Thor had told you to stay behind the wall, waiting for them to attack first, but you were getting impatient. The sooner this would be over with, the happier you were.
Without listening to any of Thor’s objections you ran out of hiding, a battle cry welling from your throat. Within seconds you were surrounded. You ducked as one of them lashed out to you. You were only just able to avoid being knocked to the ground. You turned your swords around in your hands again and stormed after them, thrusting your swords into their weak spots, causing them to fall to the ground immediately. You cut of several of their heads and wiped the sweat off your
The one that got away (Steve x Reader) One-shot
It was an extraordinary hot day in august and the warm rays of the sun heated up your peach colored skin. Drops of sweat ran down the sides of your cheek as you waved a piece of paper in front of your face in an attempt to create a cool gush of wind.
You had been standing in front of the Smithsonian museum for quite some time now, but your target still hadn’t shown up yet. You checked your watch for the second time in just a minute and sighed, seeing that the time was still the same.
From behind your sunglasses you observed all the people that entered the building. Ordinary, everyday people that had no idea what kind of things were really going on in the world. They just went to work, paid their taxes and lived their lives. They had absolutely no idea. You smiled thinking about it.
You had been a HYDRA agent for several years now, recruited from a very young age and molted into something the American government could only dream of having. You were not just a soldier or a spy. No,
One Day (Loki x Reader) One-shot
You were sitting inside Stark Tower, ticking on the kitchen table nervously. Loki was sitting opposite of you and looked at you with his typical mischievous smile.
‘Why do I have to babysit him?’ you asked Fury, finally able to pull your gaze away from Loki. ‘Can’t you just lock him up downstairs?’
‘We’ve talked about this, [Name]. Loki is part of the team now. No more fights. No more cells. He has promised to do what we ask of him.’
‘Yeah, right...’ you scoffed, turning your gaze back to Loki. ‘Like his word means anything.’
Fury sighed. ‘Look, I also rather have it differently, but we need him. Besides, without his scepter, he is as harmless as an ant, right Loki?’
Loki nodded, keeping his eyes on you. ‘Whatever you say, Nick.’
‘Don’t worry, [Name],’ Fury said, turning to you again. ‘We’ll be back tomorrow night. If anything happens, you c

‘No!’ you screamed, your throat sore from crying. ‘No…’
You slammed your hands against the cell again, but you didn’t know why anymore. It was no use. They were gone. The machine hadn’t worked and you were trapped. They were all dead and you were soon going to be.
You hit the glass of the door one last time, in an attempt to forget about the pain that was glowing inside of your chest. You hadn’t known the Avengers a long time, but they had felt like long lost friends. It had felt like home.
Just as your hand hit the glass, the cell disappeared and you plunged forward, falling onto a cold, hard floor. For a few seconds you just stared at your hands on that floor, feeling the coldness spread through your fingers. When you looked up, you realized you were in some kind of file room. Cabinets were standing in rows behind each other and on a table a map of the world was laid out.
You slowly pushed yourself from t

Something was wrong. Something was terribly wrong. You felt blood dripping from a cut in your lip and your whole body felt sore. What had just happened?
You pushed yourself from the floor looking around you. Your room in Stark Tower was completely destroyed, a cloud of ashes rained down on you. You had only been here a week – since Fury had asked you to join the Avengers in the hunt for the remaining HYDRA agents – and now everything was gone.
You tried to stand up, but your legs were stuck under a part of the ceiling that had come down. You looked up, seeing a large hole, leading up to the blue sky – it was already morning. Through the smoke it was hard to see anything, but you were almost certain you could see helicopters flying away.
You coughed up blood, trying to wriggle yourself from underneath the heavy concrete.
‘Damn it!’ you cried out, still not able to move.
You wondered what had happened to the other parts of th
